Photography
If you are looking for someone to help capture high quality and unique images for your Kintyre based event or business, please do get in touch. As a Tarbert based photographer I can be flexible to fit with your schedule, with a wealth of local knowledge that will enhance any collaboration.
Videography
I have been creating videos personally for around 20 years, and have recently started to offer this to a number of customers. If you are looking for a short film, interview situation or promotional video for your business, club, or community or family event, please get in touch to discuss how I can help.
Aerial Imagery
I have the necessary drone license and insurance to fly in most unrestricted areas and capture unique perspectives for you. The picture on the left of Tarbert was created by stitching around 80 separate images taken at the maximum legal altitude of 120m above the ground to create the illusion of the drone flying at a much greater height. The resulting very detailed image of the village is quite something when viewed as a large print.
Negative Scanning
Do you have old slides or film negatives that you would like printed or enlarged? I have the capability to scan original negatives, develop and restore the resulting images as well as print up to A2 in size. If you have a favourite photo that has faded, and you still have the film negative it may be possible to create a new copy of the print for you.
Lab Quality Printing
In order to get the best possible output quality, and reduce the reliance on lab printing services for my own work, I have invested in an A2 17 inch wide inkjet printer.
The printer is the Epson P900, which uses an array of 10 pigment based inks to provide a huge colour gamut that will beautifully render the finest detail in any photograph.
Combined with museum grade 300gsm semi gloss and matt papers, I am confident that the product of my work will rival any lab service. The downside to this high quality is cost. Printing with the Epson P900, using my chosen papers, is not cheap - but in my opinion, the cost is well worth it when you admire its output.
There is no point in trekking to remote locations early or late in the day, painstakingly adjusting camera settings, waiting for the right light, only to then cut costs and print using inferior devices and paper.
Although purchased to print my own work for sale, I am happy to help you get a beautiful print copy of your own photographs. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements, and see if I can help.
